Public Bank cardholders can get up to 20% off dining at selected restaurants and hotels in Penang under the bank’s Jom Rasa Penang campaign. The offers cover buffets, Japanese dining, set menus and more, with most discounts running to the end of December 2026 and the Japanese dining deals lasting until 30 June 2027.

The Hut Dining Discount Doesn’t Cover Every Buffet

The 15% discount at Hut Dining Buffet only applies to buffet packages priced at RM278 and above. Its Classic buffet costs RM99 on weekdays and RM119 on weekends, while the Essence buffet costs RM189 on weekdays and RM199 on weekends, so neither qualifies for the discount.

The discount starts from the Premium tier, which costs RM278 for weekday lunch and RM298 for weekday dinner. It also applies to the pricier Supreme and Luxurious tiers.

The G Hotel Offer Includes 15% Off Rooms

The G Hotel deal isn’t limited to dining. You can also get 15% off the Best Available Rate for rooms at G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai when you book at least two days in advance.

The offer applies to all room categories, although group bookings of more than nine rooms are excluded. Tourism tax and the local council fee are also charged separately.

For dining, the 20% discount applies to buffet and a la carte dining at Cafe 168 in G Hotel Gurney and Spoon in G Hotel Kelawai. You can also get 15% off snack orders at G Spot, Gravity, and 2PM.

Christoph’s, Norm Micro Roastery And Peninsula House Have Minimum Spends

Christoph’s has one of the stricter minimum-spend requirements. Each diner at your table must spend at least RM150, and the offer is only available from Monday to Thursday until 30 November 2026.

At Norm Micro Roastery, the RM150 minimum spend applies between 9.30am and 6pm, while Peninsula House’s 10% discount requires a RM300 minimum spend and is available between noon and 4pm.

Sood by Chef Ton offers 10% off its Chef’s Curated and Signature course menus. Spend RM800 in a single receipt and you’ll also get a bottle of house wine. Reservations must be made in advance via WhatsApp.

What The Jom Rasa Penang Terms Exclude

All the offers are for dine-in only, so takeaway and delivery orders don’t qualify. Bills also cannot be split for the purpose of claiming the discounts.

Minimum spends are calculated before service charge and government tax. So if an offer requires a RM150 minimum spend, the qualifying food and drinks need to total at least RM150 before those additional charges are added.

The discounts also cannot be combined with other promotions, vouchers, or loyalty programmes. Christoph’s and the two G Hotels go further and exclude public holidays and the eve of them, which takes out the long weekends when most people travel to Penang in the first place.

Each outlet sets its own terms, so check the ones for the restaurant you’re going to on Public Bank’s Jom Rasa Penang page before you book.
