alrajhi bank Malaysia has launched its first Visa credit cards, the Visa Platinum Credit Cardi and Visa Signature Credit Cardi, marking the bank’s entry into the credit card market as it marks 20 years of operations in Malaysia. Both cards are structured under the Tawarruq concept, a Shariah-compliant contract structure.

Visa Platinum For Everyday Spending

With the Visa Platinum Credit Card-i, you can earn 5% cashback on everyday categories like dining, groceries, online transactions and utility payments, capped at RM30 per month. Other eligible retail purchases earn unlimited 0.2% cashback.

The card comes with a lifetime annual fee waiver for principal and supplementary cardholders.

Visa Signature For Travel And Lifestyle Rewards

If you spend more on travel and overseas purchases, the Visa Signature Credit Card-i offers 10% cashback on overseas spending, capped at RM80 per month, and unlimited 0.6% cashback on other eligible local currency spend.

You’ll also get complimentary global Priority Pass airport lounge access and 24/7 Visa Concierge services. The annual fee is waived in the first year and can continue to be waived with at least one retail transaction each month for 12 consecutive months.

New Customers Get Up To RM150 Cashback

To mark the launch, alrajhi bank Malaysia is offering a limited-time cashback campaign for new credit card customers.

If you meet the campaign’s spending and other requirements, you could receive RM100 cashback with the Visa Platinum Credit Cardi or RM150 cashback with the Visa Signature Credit Cardi, on top of the cards’ regular cashback benefits.

What You’ll Need To Apply

The cards are available to Malaysians aged between 21 and 65, with a minimum annual income of RM24,000 for the Visa Platinum Credit Card-i and RM60,000 for the Visa Signature Credit Card-i

For salaried employees, you’ll need to share a copy of your MyKad (front and back) and EPF statement(s) showing the latest 12 months of contributions. If you’re self-employed, please provide a copy of your MyKad (front and back), six months of company bank statements, business registration documents, and your income tax returns for the past two years (personal or business).

Applications, forms and submission instructions are available on www.alrajhibank.com.my, and both cards can be managed through the MY alrajhi app, available on the App Store and Google Play.
