Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank credit cardmembers can earn up to RM1,000 cashback when purchasing an EcoWorld property, under a promotion running from 1 May to 31 July 2026. A separate cutlery set giveaway for spending at EcoWorld township shops runs during the same period.
Both promotions work through Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank (PIB) Visa credit cards, though the township spending promotion extends to other credit cards as well.
The bigger of the two promotions targets homebuyers. If you pay your down payment for any EcoWorld property using a Public Bank or PIB credit card under the Zero Interest Instalment Plan (ZIIP) or Zero Profit Instalment Plan (ZPIP) for 36 months, you can earn cashback based on the amount you pay.
The cashback tiers are as follows:
| Down Payment Amount | Cashback |
| RM10,000 – RM39,999 | RM200 |
| RM40,000 – RM99,999 | RM400 |
| RM100,000 and above | RM1,000 |
Each cardmember is limited to one cashback payout throughout the entire promotion period. The cashback will be credited to your card account within four to twelve weeks after 31 July 2026, provided you meet all the terms and conditions.
The down payment must be processed through Public Bank’s ZIIP or PIB’s ZPIP on a 36-month tenure. You also cannot participate in any other Public Bank credit card usage campaign during the same period, so if you’re eyeing another promotion, check whether it overlaps.
If any qualifying transaction is reversed after the cashback has been credited, you will need to reimburse the full cashback amount to the bank. Any disputes or queries about the cashback need to be raised with PB Card Customer Service at 03-2170 8000 by 31 October 2026.
Separately, there’s also a cutlery set giveaway running during the same period. Spend RM300 or more in a single receipt at any participating EcoWorld township shop using a PB/PIB Visa credit card (or RM500 with any other credit card) and you can redeem a free 16-piece cutlery set. Only 500 sets are available across all townships on a first-come, first-served basis.
The cashback and cutlery set promotions apply at eight EcoWorld townships across Peninsular Malaysia:
| Township | Location |
| Eco Botanic | Iskandar Puteri, Johor |
| Eco Spring | Johor Bahru, Johor |
| Eco Majestic | Semenyih, Selangor |
| Eco Ardence | Shah Alam, Selangor |
| Eco Sanctuary | Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor |
| Eco Grandeur | Puncak Alam, Selangor |
| Bukit Bintang City Centre | Kuala Lumpur |
| Eco Horizon | Bandar Cassia, Pulau Pinang |
The townships span Johor, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang, so the promotions aren’t limited to a single region.
Paying a property down payment by credit card isn’t the norm for most homebuyers, but Public Bank’s ZIIP makes it possible by splitting the amount into 36 equal monthly instalments with no interest. On a RM40,000 down payment, that works out to about RM1,111 per month over three years.
The trade-off is that this instalment takes up your available credit limit for the full 36-month duration. If your credit card limit is RM50,000 and you convert RM40,000 into a ZIIP, you’re left with RM10,000 of usable credit on that card until the plan is fully paid off. That could be tight if you rely on the same card for everyday spending.
The RM400 cashback on a RM40,000 down payment works out to a 1% return. At the RM100,000 tier, the RM1,000 cashback is also 1%. The cashback adds up if you were already planning to use a Public Bank card for your down payment, though it’s worth comparing against other card promotions you might be giving up.
Do note that participating in this promotion means you won’t be eligible for other Public Bank credit card usage campaigns during the same period. If you’re weighing this against another promotion, check which one offers better value for your spending pattern.
