Public Bank Offers RM200 Cashback On Overseas Spending
Author Avatar

Public Bank Mastercard Debit Cardholders can get 10% cashback on eligible overseas spending from 1 September to 31 December 2026. You’ll need to spend at least RM400 in a calendar month to qualify, with cashback capped at RM200 per month.

The cashback is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with RM30,000 set aside for each month of the campaign.

How To Qualify For The Cashback

You’ll need to register once during the campaign through Public Bank’s PBe online banking service or by SMS.

For SMS registration, send PBUP to 68333 using the mobile number registered with Public Bank. If you have multiple eligible Public Bank Mastercard Debit Cards, you only need to register once and spending across those cards will be tracked automatically.

The campaign is open to these Public Bank Mastercard Debit Cards:

  • PB RCB Elite/Gold Mastercard Debit Card
  • PB Mastercard Lifestyle Debit Card
  • PB Scholar Debit Card
  • PB UTAR Mastercard Debit Card
  • PB TAR UMT Mastercard Debit Card

How Much Cashback Can You Get?

You’ll earn 10% cashback once your eligible overseas spending reaches RM400 in a calendar month.

For example, RM400 in eligible spending would earn RM40 cashback, while RM2,000 would earn the maximum RM200.

If you have a supplementary cardmember, their eligible spending will be added to yours when calculating the cashback.

There’s a total of RM120,000 available throughout the campaign, split equally across the four months.

What Transactions Qualify?

The campaign covers overseas transactions charged in foreign currency, but some transactions are excluded.

These include recurring payments, utility bills, insurance premiums, government payments, cash withdrawals, foreign exchange transactions, casino transactions and service fees. Transactions that already earn cashback or rebates under another ongoing campaign are also excluded.

Register Earlier To Get More Months Of Cashback

The earlier you register, the more months your spending can be tracked. If you register in September, your eligible spending can be tracked from September through December. Registering in October means your spending will only be tracked from October onwards.

Cashback will be credited to your account within four to 12 weeks after the end of each calendar month, provided you’ve met the campaign requirements.

Participating in this campaign means you won’t be eligible for other Public Bank Debit Card Usage Campaigns during the campaign period. Your transactions will also be excluded from those campaigns.
