RHB Removes Excess Limit Fees On Credit Cards
Author Avatar

RHB will discontinue its Excess Limit Fee for all RHB Credit Card/-i and RHB Charge Card/-i from 21 August 2026.

The fee currently applies when a cardholder’s total outstanding credit card balance exceeds their approved combined credit limit. From 21 August, cardholders will no longer be charged the fee when this happens.

However, the change does not mean cardholders will automatically receive a higher credit limit or additional borrowing capacity. RHB’s announcement also does not provide further details on whether other terms or charges may apply when a balance exceeds the approved combined credit limit.
