Civil Servants To Receive Up To RM700 Special Cash Aid, RM600 Aidilfitri Allowance

In his Budget 2023 speech today, Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said that eligible civil servants will be able to receive several special cash aids from the government in the coming year. These include the Bantuan Khas Kewangan of up to RM700, as well as the Bantuan Khas Kewangan Aidilfitri of RM600.

Under the Bantuan Khas Kewangan initiative, approximately 1.3 million Grade 56 government employees and below will be entitled to a cash aid of RM700, while 1 million former public servants will receive RM350. Tengku Zafrul further said that these cash aids are given as a gift of gratitude from the government to civil servants who have been faithfully serving the nation. It will see a budget allocation of RM1.3 billion.

On top of this, public servants will also receive an additional RM600 cash aid under the Bantuan Khas Kewangan Aidilfitri initiative, which is expected to be paid out in March 2023. The government has agreed to raise the salaries of civil servants in Grade 11 to Grade 56 by RM100 as well, set to take effect starting from January 2023.

With all the above special cash aids and raise in salary, Tengku Zafrul said that civil servants can look forward to a maximum additional amount of RM2,500 for their use.

What about the poor and those who are not civil servants? This looks like a political ploy benefitting one race which will further divide the nation !
