Citi’s Campaign Offers Up To RM500 Cashback For Travel And Overseas Spend

Citibank is currently running its Sep-Oct 2022 Travel and Foreign Spend campaign to offer eligible credit cardholders cashback of up to RM500 when they hit a specified cumulative amount for travel and overseas spend. On top of that, the bank is also offering a separate RM3,000 cashback to 15 top spenders during the campaign. 

Set to run until 31 October 2022, the campaign is open to all principal cardholders of Citi credit cards, excluding Citi Business Signature Card (Business Underwriting), Citi Business Gold Card (Business Underwriting), and Citi Travel Account Card. Eligible cardholders will be able to earn cashback worth either RM150 or RM500 when they meet the following cumulative spend during a campaign month:

Transactions that qualify for this promotion include local spend (travel expenses only) as well as overseas spend (all expenses). Travel expenses that are accepted under local spend include payments for airlines, lodging, travel agencies, as well as tourist attractions. 

Meanwhile, payments such as existing monthly recurring or auto-billing payments and instalments made under Citibank Flexi Payment Plan or Citibank Easy Payment Plan do not qualify for this campaign. 

Citibank has allocated RM200,000 for each campaign month, with the cashback reward offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Each cardholder is eligible to receive a maximum of one cashback reward in each campaign month:

If you win any cashback rewards, they will be credited into your most active card account within eight weeks from the end of the campaign period. This will also be reflected in your monthly credit card statement. 

In addition to these monthly cashback rewards, eligible cardholders will also stand a chance to win another RM3,000 cashback – by becoming one of the 15 top spenders during the campaign period! If you manage to secure the top spender prize, your relevant particulars will be announced on Citibank’s website within eight weeks from the end of the campaign, and the cashback prize will also be credited into your most active account. Do note that each cardholder is also only allowed to win this prize once throughout the whole campaign. 

Finally, you are not required to go through any registration process to participate in this promotion; all qualified transactions by eligible cardholders will be automatically tracked for the campaign.
