Lazada 12.12 Bank Vouchers

Before you begin shopping on 12 December, make sure to first claim Lazada’s bank promo codes and vouchers as they are only released at the start of the event (midnight of 12 December). Other vouchers and bonuses that you can also collect beforehand to help you earn maximum savings include seller vouchers, Lazada Bonus, and free shipping vouchers.

It’s always worthwhile collecting these because Lazada lets you stack up to five vouchers for each of your purchase order on its platform (bank voucher + platform voucher + store voucher + free shipping voucher + Lazada Bonus). Sometimes, you can even use your Lazada Coins to further reduce the cost of your purchases, or LazMall membership vouchers (for selected stores) to enjoy extra discounts with a minimum spend. There are also surprise vouchers worth up to RM10 that you can collect now and redeem on 12 December.

Shopee 12.12 Bank Vouchers

Unlike Lazada, you can already begin to claim Shopee’s bank partner vouchers starting from today, but note that this does not mean the vouchers are guaranteed yours to use! This is due to the different redemption mechanics utilised by Shopee – which we’ll talk more about later. In the meantime, don’t forget to also check out the 12% rebate voucher (exclusively for Shopee’s 12.12 Birthday Sale), along with the usual 10% instant rebate, 10% coin cashback, and free shipping vouchers.

You should also be aware that Shopee only allows the stacking of two vouchers for every purchase that you make on its platform: shop voucher + discount/platform OR free shipping. As such, it’ll take some quick planning on your part to decide on which voucher to use to get you the most savings.

We’ve mentioned earlier that Shopee utilises a different voucher redemption mechanics than Lazada, so let us shed some light on that now. Essentially, Lazada uses a “first claim” redemption approach, while Shopee’s is based on a “first redemption” basis.

This means that in the case of Lazada, once you’ve claimed a bank voucher, it’s confirmed yours to use – you’re free to use it whenever you want, as long as it is during the sale event. Shopee, meanwhile, does not track the number of vouchers that are claimed; it tracks the actual redemption instead. Claiming a voucher on Shopee only puts it on your voucher list for accessibility; it is not guaranteed yours. As such, come 12 December, you will still need to compete with other shoppers in a race to utilise them before they finish.
