Samsung has announced the arrival of its latest range of Neo QLED 8K TVs, which are aimed at redefining the role of TVs as a central hub to work, play, connect, and more.
Developed with the vision of “Screens Everywhere, Screens for All”, Samsung designed these new TVs to be the centre of users’ homes and daily lives. The new Tizen Smart Hub UI integrates machine learning capabilities to customise users’ entertainment options and preferences that allow it to make smart recommendations, while the new Ambient mode synchronises the screen’s display to match surrounding décor or display art pieces that accentuate your living room space.
Meanwhile, at the heart of the Neo QLED 8K TVs is the new Neural Quantum Processor 8K. Featuring 20 – yes, twenty – independent neural AI networks, this processor is capable of analysing and optimising picture quality regardless of source. The Real Depth Enhancer feature is designed to work like the human eye: enhancing objects in the foreground while keeping the background unprocessed to allow objects to stand out.
In addition, Mini LED technology makes a debut here, allowing the Neo QLED 8K TVs to have better control over lighting that minimises backlight bleeding and enhances the viewing experience. A quantum leap over conventional edge-lit LEDs, Mini LED technology uses hundreds or thousands of tiny LED light spread across the entire display, allowing better control over lighting.
Finally, the 2022 Neo QLED 8K TVs are also the world’s first Pantone-validated TVs. The global authority on colour and creator of the Pantone Matching System (PMS), the validation certifies that the 2022 Neo QLED 8K TVs can display more than 2,000 colours and 110 skin tone shades found in Pantone’s guidelines.
For gamers, Samsung has also upgraded its 2022 Neo QLED 8K TVs to provide the best gaming experience. Four HDMI 2.1 ports mean each HDMI port supports next-gen gaming consoles, while Motion Xcelerator Turbo Pro enables super-fast 144Hz refresh rates. Samsung also debuts a new “Super Ultrawide GameView” mode that takes full advantage of the 8K resolution.
There’s even space for Samsung’s own NFT platform, which is a partnership with Nifty Platform. This feature allows the Neo QLED 8K TVs to display NFT art while in Ambient Mode.
The Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs are now available in Malaysia, and in four screen sizes: 55”, 65”, 75”, and 85”. Prices start from RM12,499 up to RM49,999. For more information, check out Samsung’s official website.
