GHL Partners With Visa To Become First In ASEAN To Offer Visa Instalments
Author Avatar

GHL Systems Berhad has partnered with Visa to enable Visa instalments for its clients using the eGHL Payment Gateway Platform. GHL Group is the first online payment gateway in Southeast Asia to be integrated with Visa instalments.

Under Visa instalments, consumers using Visa cards from participating banks can spread their total purchase amount into a set number of instalments over a specific time period. Eligible customers will be presented with the option at the point of purchase, which can either be on the payment terminal screen in-store or at the checkout page online.

Currently, over 2,500 existing eGHL online merchants across Malaysia will be able to offer the instalment options to their customers. The solution will be made available to GHL face-to-face merchants in the next phase.

“GHL is excited to be the first in ASEAN to be integrated to Visa Instalments API to provide seamless shopping experience and expand consumers’ purchasing power, especially when it comes to bigger ticket items,” said Group CEO of GHL Sean Hesh. “The payment flexibility is just the beginning of many of our continuous efforts and innovative solutions that we hope to grow with Visa here onwards.”

Meanwhile, Head of Products for Visa Malaysia Kim J. Hak said, “Visa Instalments empowers consumers the ability to choose how they pay upon checkout, and simplifies the current friction and time-consuming instalment process for buyers and sellers. We’re extremely excited to partner with GHL to integrate our API with their payment gateway and offer this solution to thousands of online merchants. We will be working with our issuer partners to enable this solution for Visa cardholders shortly so that they can make instalment payments with eGHL merchants.”
