Malaysians are now able to purchase McDonald’s gift certificates from Lazada. To sweeten the deal, the e-commerce platform is offering a 10% discount on all gift certificate purchases as part of the launch offer.
These physical vouchers will be delivered in denominations of RM10, which you can then use to get any items on the menu at any McDonald’s outlet until 31 December 2020. During the ongoing period of movement control order (MCO), however, they can only be used for drive-thru and takeaway orders at selected outlets that are open.
The gift certificate bundles that are available for sale are valued at RM200, RM500, and RM1,000. It’s a little odd, considering the relatively high purchase value may prevent non-regulars from purchasing. That said, maybe sharing the vouchers with family and friends will alleviate this. Once discounted, it means you will be paying RM180, RM450, and RM900 for each certificate, respectively.
Keep a lookout for the flash sale for the RM 200 McDonald’s gift cards, starting midnight tonight. Save even more from your purchase by using the best cashback credit cards for online shopping, such as the Public Bank Visa Signature, Standard Chartered Liverpool FC Cash Back Card, and the Public Bank Quantum Mastercard.
As usual with gift certificate purchases, you will not be given any change if your purchases ring up to a total that is less than the value of the gift certificates used. So, make sure you decide and calculate the expenses of your orders beforehand if you wish to use the vouchers!
