Touch ‘n Go will add 10 Enhanced RFID lanes across five highways by the end of 2026, on top of the two already running. The company announced the expansion on 30 September at the MyASEAN Roads & Traffic Tech Expo at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with its 30th anniversary. You can spot the lanes by the gold star on their signage.
The 10 lanes will be spread across these toll plazas:
| Highway | Toll Plaza | Enhanced RFID Lanes |
| Maju Expressway (MEX) | Putrajaya | 2 |
| Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway (SILK) | Sungai Ramal | 2 |
| Grand Sepadu Highway | Bukit Raja | 2 |
| Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE) | Bukit Jelutong | 2 |
| East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) | Sungai Long | 1 |
| East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) | Ampang | 1 |
Two Enhanced RFID lanes are already open, at the Dato Keramat toll plaza on the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) for traffic heading towards Ampang, and at the Putrajaya toll plaza on MEX for traffic heading towards Putrajaya.
Each Enhanced RFID lane pairs two RFID antennas with an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera, which Touch ‘n Go says strengthens security and accuracy. The lanes also use parts of its Titan Flow technology, which adds artificial intelligence and machine learning to vehicle detection so toll transactions stay reliable at higher speeds. When it unveiled the lane at Dato Keramat in July, the company said the technology recorded 99.98% detection accuracy under real-world driving and weather conditions.
The lanes are part of Touch ‘n Go’s push towards Multi-Lane Fast Flow (MLFF), the barrier-free system where vehicles pass through toll plazas without stopping. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said at the same expo that the government isn’t rushing MLFF, and that highway concessionaires have been given a timeline he wouldn’t disclose while negotiations continue. The government has also said it needs to amend three laws before MLFF can start.
Until MLFF has a date, you’ll still pay at the plaza the way you do today. If your regular route passes any of the six plazas above, your current RFID tag will work in the gold star lane once it opens, which Touch ‘n Go expects to happen by the end of 2026.
