50% Off Traffic Summons Available Until 16 Sept

In conjunction with the 68th National Day and the 62nd Malaysia Day celebrations, the Home Ministry has announced a 50% discount on traffic police summons. The campaign, led by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, runs from 31 August to 16 September 2025.

Payments Only Through MyBayar App and MyDigital ID

The discount is available exclusively for payments made via the police’s MyBayar App using MyDigital ID login details. Saifuddin explained that this approach not only offers financial relief but also encourages wider use of Malaysia’s digital identity system.

A Celebration with Practical Benefits

According to Saifuddin, the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to celebrating national milestones while providing direct benefits to the public. He described the discount as both a gesture of appreciation to Malaysians and a step towards strengthening the role of digital identity in public services.

Supporting Malaysia’s Digital Transformation

The MyDigital ID platform is designed to provide secure, verified access for online services. By integrating it with MyBayar App payments, the government aims to make resolving traffic summons easier, faster, and safer. Saifuddin highlighted that MyDigital ID also reduces the risk of identity fraud and misuse of personal data.

The government has set a target of 13 million Malaysians registered under MyDigital ID by the end of this year. Saifuddin noted that linking essential services, such as summons payments, is part of efforts to encourage adoption and ensure a smooth transition to digital-first government services.
