It’s RinggitPlus’ birthday, and everybody loves free gifts, especially on their birthday! Plenty of brands and attractions offer birthday perks, from free meals and desserts to complimentary tickets and karaoke sessions.
To celebrate, we’ve rounded up the best birthday deals available in 2026 by physically stalking checking! individual outlets to see whether they honour their birthday freebie promises made on their official channels. We’ve linked each brand to the page carrying the offer, whether that’s a rewards programme, a membership FAQ, or the outlet listing, so you can check the terms yourself before you go. If you’re also going to try scoring some of these birthday goodies, a good tip is just to ask politely if the deal is still available.
Terms and conditions can change, and individual outlets may have their own rules, so manage your expectations and plan accordingly.
A few birthday offers ask for nothing more than your IC at the counter. Most offers run through a loyalty app, so make sure you sign yourself up for the loyalty programme before your birthday comes around.
Many of these rewards run across your whole birthday month rather than the day itself, but the redemption windows vary more than you might expect. Boost Juice gives you 14 days either side, RT Pastry gives you three, and Potato Corner is the day itself only. Some also require your account to be registered and verified before your birthday month begins.
Most vouchers carry an expiry date once issued. The Tous Les Jours birthday voucher is valid only during your birthday month, so a January birthday left unclaimed by the 31st costs you RM28.80 in cake and coffee you had already qualified for.
If you already visit these places, signing up for their loyalty programmes can be an easy way to pick up an extra treat. If you’re downloading an app solely for one free scoop of ice cream, though, you may decide it’s not worth adding another account to your phone.
Your birthday is a good excuse to have a fun day out, especially if you’re going with a group of friends. Just remember that a “free” birthday activity may still come with a bill for the people joining you.
Some loyalty programmes credit birthday vouchers at the start of your birthday month, while others require your account to have been registered or verified before then. A few weeks before your birthday, check the terms for the programmes you want to use, then note when each voucher becomes available and when it expires.
Set a spending limit for everything around the freebies as well. Transport, parking, meals for friends, and purchases needed to qualify for certain rewards can add up quickly, and settling on that figure at home is easier than doing the sums at the till.
And last but not least, a very happy birthday from us to you, whenever it may be! May all your wishes come true.
