Hong Leong Bank has announced that all its Hong Leong Debit and Credit Cards will be automatically enabled for toll-related transactions on highways and expressways nationwide, beginning 27 June 2025. This initiative offers cardholders a seamless and convenient way to pay for toll fares simply by tapping their cards at designated toll booths.
Motorists using Hong Leong Visa, Mastercard, or MyDebit cards will be able to complete toll payments where these card scheme logos are displayed at the toll plaza. There is no activation required, as the feature will be automatically enabled by the bank. Once implemented, this service cannot be disabled, and it applies to both principal and supplementary cardholders.
For debit cardholders, Hong Leong Bank advises ensuring that there is sufficient balance in the linked account, as inadequate funds may result in transaction failure. Additionally, transactions may be declined if the card has expired.

This move reflects the broader push towards cashless, contactless infrastructure across Malaysia’s transportation systems, aligning with national efforts to enhance digital payment adoption and user convenience.
