Payment gateway provider iPay88 has announced its collaboration with buy now, pay later (BNPL) platform Atome to expand the BNPL acceptance across iPay88 merchants in Malaysia.
As Southeast Asia’s leading regional payment gateway provider, this collaboration will see Atome’s BNPL services integrated into iPay88’s online and retail payment solutions, providing retailers the option of BNPL services to customers. This is an interesting and timely move, as BNPL services are expected to double its market share by 2024, according to he 2021 Global Payments Report by FIS-Worldpay.
Lim Kok Hing, Co-Founder and Executive Director of iPay88 shared his excitement about the partnership. “We are excited to partner with Atome to expand the acceptance of BNPL as a flexible payment option for our merchants across their payment touchpoints in Malaysia.”
He added that the partnership will enable them to offer a quicker, smoother and seamless payment experience for their shoppers both online and in stores. “With the growing adoption of BNPL in Malaysia, this partnership will support our merchants by helping them drive better conversions and business growth through the BNPL payment acceptance,” he said.
