LHDN Reminder: Update Your Tax Instalments By 31 October
Author Avatar

The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) is reminding taxpayers who have received the Instalment Payment Notice (CP500) for the Year of Assessment (YA) 2025 to review their instalment amount and submit an amendment, if needed, by 31 October 2025.

How To Amend Your CP500 Instalment Amount

Taxpayers who wish to amend their instalment payments must complete the Application Form for Amendment of Instalment Payment (CP502). The form is available on LHDN’s official portal.

Once completed, the CP502 form can be submitted to LHDN by hand, email, or post. Alternatively, taxpayers may send it online through the Customer Feedback Form on the same portal.

When To Consider An Amendment

According to LHDN, taxpayers may amend their CP500 instalment amount based on their estimated income and tax payable for YA 2025. This means the amount can be adjusted upwards or downwards, depending on the taxpayer’s expected earnings and liabilities for the year.

Making Payments Under The New Schedule

After an amendment is approved, instalment payments should be made according to the new schedule using the designated bill number provided by LHDN.

Taxpayers are encouraged to review their financial position early to ensure accurate instalments and avoid potential penalties or shortfalls when filing their income tax returns for YA 2025.
