Online job offerings totalled 587,801 in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM). The number of companies advertising positions rose to 80,287, up from 77,615 in the third quarter of 2025.
Professional roles made up the largest share of listings, accounting for 46.4% or 272,698 job offerings in Q4 2025, up from 268,178 in Q3 2025. Technicians and Associate Professionals came in second with 93,358 listings, followed by Managers at 88,080.
Within the Professional category, Advertising and Marketing Professionals recorded the highest demand at 42,411 job offerings, followed by Managing Directors and Chief Executives (36,656), Administrative Associate Professionals (29,569), Administrative Professionals (22,093), and Accountants and Auditors (20,111).
The Services sector dominated, accounting for 84.4% of all job offerings or 496,065 positions, up from 77.2% in Q3 2025. Within Services, Wholesale and Retail Trade led with 183,653 listings, followed by Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities (62,954), Administrative and Support Service Activities (52,036), Manufacturing (45,369), and Construction (40,069).
The strong demand for marketing, administrative, and finance roles points to strong office-based hiring activity heading into 2026. This matches the shift toward skills-based hiring that has been reshaping the Malaysian job market over the past year.
