The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is offering up to 80% discount on outstanding summonses from 9 December to 12 December 2021, in celebration of the government’s 100-Day Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia.

Specifically, PDRM is offering an 80% discount for summonses issued in the Federal Territory and Putrajaya, whereas those issued in all other states will get a 70% rebate. To enjoy this discount, however, Malaysians must make their payments at a dedicated payment counter in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) between 9am to 6pm during the specified dates.

PDRM also clarified that the discounts are applicable to all types of offences, except for the following:

  • Accident summonses in 2021
  • Non-compoundable summonses
  • Summonses that require court hearing
  • Summonses for matters related to lorries
  • Summonses for overtaking in a dangerous manner in 2021
  • Summonses for driving in emergency lanes in 2021
  • Summonses for running red lights in 2021
  • Summonses for overtaking on double lines in 2021
  • Summonses for illegally modified exhaust pipes

The authorities further said that it hoped these discounts will benefit Malaysians, and advised the public to obey all Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) when they visit the convention centre. These include wearing a face mask, sanitising often, and practising physical distancing.
