PERKESO Shares Guide On Choosing Whether To Join LINDUNG 24 Jam
Author Avatar

PERKESO has published a step-by-step guide to help employees decide whether to join the voluntary LINDUNG 24 Jam scheme, which employees can now opt in or out of through the LINDUNG portal following changes announced earlier this month.

The scheme covers eligible non-work-related accidents, including those that happen at home, during personal travel or while taking part in sports and other leisure activities.

Register Or Log In

Employees with an existing Portal Lindung Faedah account can log in using their registered email address and password. First-time users will need to create an account by providing their full name, identity card number, email address and a password before proceeding.

Once logged in, select “Baharu” (New) under the application type to begin your declaration.

Submit Your Participation Choice

Under the Employee’s Declaration section, choose either to participate in or opt out of the LINDUNG 24 Jam Scheme. If you have more than one employer, you’ll also need to select the employer for whom you’re making the declaration.

Before submitting, tick the declaration confirming that you’ve read and understood the information provided. PERKESO also notes that your participation choice cannot be changed once the declaration has been submitted, so make sure you’ve selected the correct option before confirming.

Employees who choose not to participate will see a confirmation message reminding them that they will not be entitled to benefits provided under the scheme before their decision is finalised.

Once submitted, the system will display a confirmation message. You can then download a copy of your declaration for your records.

Employees who choose to participate authorise their employer to make the necessary contributions or deductions, where applicable, in accordance with the scheme requirements. Those who opt out will continue to be covered under PERKESO’s existing protection for work-related accidents but will not receive the additional coverage for eligible non-work-related accidents under the LINDUNG 24 Jam Scheme.

At the time of writing, PERKESO has not stated what happens if an employee does not submit either declaration.
