Pos Malaysia has launched Pos ArRahnu Gold-i, a Shariah-compliant digital gold savings platform that lets customers buy, sell and convert gold starting from RM10.
The platform, developed with Go Capital Growth Sdn Bhd, became available on 13 July 2026 through Pos ArRahnu outlets nationwide and online.
Head of Pos ArRahnu Mohammed Zubair Peerpulavar said Pos Malaysia is targeting between 50,000 and 70,000 registered users in the platform’s first year, with a focus on B40 and M40 customers, first-time savers and young working adults.
Pos Malaysia Group chief executive officer Charles Brewer said the RM10 entry point is meant to help more customers start a savings habit through a network they already know.
Each digital gold purchase is backed by physical 999.9 (24-karat) gold held in secure storage, and the gold’s authenticity is verified by the London Bullion Market Association, SIRIM, and the National Metrology Institute of Malaysia. The platform has also received Shariah certification from Salihin Shariah Advisory.
Customers can convert their digital gold holdings into physical gold bars ranging from 0.5g to 100g, or into 1 Dinar and 5 Dinar coins, with nationwide delivery. The buyback threshold, the minimum amount required to sell digital gold back, also starts from 0.5g.
You can create an account if you’re a Malaysian citizen aged 18 and above and not an undischarged bankrupt. To sign up, visit the website, register, and complete electronic know-your-customer (e-KYC) verification by scanning your identity card. Once that’s done, you can start buying gold from RM10.
