Simpan SSPN Dividend Hits 11-Year High At 4.1% For 2025
Author Avatar

The Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) has declared a 4.1% dividend for Simpan SSPN for the financial year ended 31 December 2025, the highest rate recorded in 11 years. The total payout of RM505.68 million will benefit 6.07 million Simpan SSPN accounts nationwide.

Sukuk And Fixed-Income Investments Lifted Returns

PTPTN attributed the stronger performance to effective risk management and a well-balanced investment portfolio focused on long-term fixed-income instruments and sukuk.

The results appear to have resonated with savers, with total deposits reaching RM3.33 billion in 2025, up 4.86% from RM3.17 billion the year before and more than 500,000 new accounts opened during the year.

Prizes Worth RM1.4 Million Up For Grabs This Year

For 2026, PTPTN is running prize campaigns for Simpan SSPN depositors with prizes worth nearly RM1.4 million for 954 winners across all campaigns.

The Cabutan WOW! Simpan SSPN Plus 2026 covers two categories. Cabutan WOW! Plus Loyalty 2026 is for existing Simpan SSPN Plus depositors who opened accounts before 31 December 2025, with a Honda CR-V as the top prize, while Cabutan WOW! Plus Siri is open to both new and existing depositors, with cash prizes of up to RM20,000 per series. For both, every net deposit of RM50 automatically earns five draw entries, with deposits made via the myPTPTN app, salary deduction, or direct debit earning 10 entries. Accounts can be opened or topped up via myPTPTN, at PTPTN branch counters, or through authorised agents.

The Cabutan Simpan SSPN Baru Slay! targets depositors aged 16 to 29 under Simpan SSPN Prime and Simpan SSPN Plus, with a Yamaha NVX motorcycle as the top prize. Entries are earned automatically through deposits made via the myPTPTN app.

Tax Relief, Takaful, And Matching Grants

For families saving for their children’s education, deposits into Simpan SSPN qualify for a personal income tax relief of up to RM8,000 per year, on top of the annual dividend. Eligible depositors also receive complimentary takaful protection, and those with household income not exceeding RM4,000 may qualify for a matching grant of up to RM10,000.

At 4.1%, the 2025 dividend is  above the current range for savings and fixed deposit accounts at most local banks, making it a good option for long-term education planning. The rate continues a steady recovery since 2023, when the dividend returned to 3.6% after two years of lower payouts.
