AmBank has announced revisions to several charges for its credit cards, applicable to both conventional and Islamic variants. These revisions will apply to the Excess Limit Charge, Early Settlement Fee, and Cash Advance Fee for both AmBank Credit Cards and AmBank Islamic Credit Cards-i.
Effective 18 December 2024, the Excess Limit Charge will be a flat RM9 for both types of credit cards. This replaces the current structure, where AmBank Credit Card holders are charged 2% of the amount exceeding their limit (with a minimum of RM50), and AmBank Islamic Credit Card-i holders are charged a flat RM50.

Meanwhile, the Early Settlement Fee will be removed for all instalment plans, including Balance Transfer, QuickCash, and AmFlexi-Pay. This means cardholders will no longer incur any fees for settling these plans early.
For the Cash Advance Fee, AmBank Credit Card holders will continue to pay 5% of the amount withdrawn, or a minimum of RM50, whichever is higher. However, AmBank Islamic Credit Card-i holders will see a reduction in their Cash Advance Fee to a flat RM12, compared to the previous minimum of RM50.
