AmBank is running a campaign that lets Visa Infinite credit cardholders earn up to 100,000 extra AmBonus Points each month, which can be redeemed for flights, gadgets, and other rewards.
The campaign runs from 1 April to 31 December 2026 and applies to selected AmBank Visa Infinite and Islamic Visa Infinite credit cards.
Across the full campaign period, cardholders can accumulate up to 900,000 AmBonus Points, which opens up a range of redemption options.
At that level, points can be used for items such as tablets, robot vacuums, and luggage sets, or converted into airline miles like Enrich Points, KrisFlyer miles, or Asia Miles for flights to destinations including Tokyo, Shanghai, or Seoul.
This gives a clearer sense of what the rewards represent, since the campaign is not structured around cashback but around redeemable points.
There is no registration required, as eligible cardholders are automatically included once they meet the spending criteria.
However, the campaign is limited to Visa Infinite cards, which places it in the higher-tier segment and out of reach for most everyday cardholders.
The extra points are based on total monthly spending, with two tiers.
Spending between RM20,000 and RM49,999 in a month earns 40,000 extra AmBonus Points, while spending RM50,000 or more earns 100,000 extra points.
Only one tier applies each month, so reaching the higher tier replaces the lower one rather than stacking additional rewards.
If you hold multiple eligible cards under the same account, including supplementary cards, all qualifying transactions are combined into one total.
This allows households or users consolidating spending to reach the required thresholds more easily.
Eligible spending includes most retail transactions, both locally and overseas, whether done in-store or online.
However, several common categories are excluded, including petrol, utilities, insurance, e-wallet reloads, government payments, instalment plans, and recurring auto-billing transactions.
This means reaching RM20,000 or RM50,000 in qualifying spend may require more deliberate spending patterns, especially if a large portion of your usual expenses falls into excluded categories.
Even after meeting the spending requirement, bonus points are not guaranteed.
Each month has a capped allocation distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so cardholders who reach the threshold earlier are more likely to receive the points.
Bonus points are credited within eight weeks after the end of each campaign month, as long as your account remains active and in good standing.
Cancelling the card before the points are credited will result in forfeiting the reward.
The minimum spend starts at RM20,000 in a single month, which puts it well beyond what most cardholders would typically charge through everyday expenses.
This makes the campaign more relevant for cardholders who already use their card for larger payments, such as big-ticket purchases or consolidated household spending, rather than relying on routine spending like groceries or bills to qualify.
