CIMB Campaign Offers Flexi Payment Plans At 0% Interest
Author Avatar

CIMB is currently running a 0% Flexi Payment Plan/-i campaign, where eligible customers can convert their purchases and expenses from selected spend categories into fixed monthly instalments over 12 months, with zero interest. Already ongoing, the promo is available for three months until 31 December 2023.

Open to selected CIMB cardholders, the purchase or expenditure that you wish to convert must come up to a minimum of RM500 (single transaction), in any of the following categories:

  • Education
  • Online
  • Overseas spend
  • Airlines
  • Hotels
  • Travel agencies

The maximum amount that can be converted, meanwhile, is capped at RM50,000 for each individual transaction, although this is also subject to your outstanding retail balances and available credit card limit. You may apply for more than one flexi payment plan.

To tap into this promo, go ahead and make your purchases as usual. If you’re selected to participate, the bank will send you an invitation message to convert your payment into a flexi payment plan, which you must then respond to in order to opt in.

Upon opting in, make sure to be punctual in making your repayments as there’ll be a late payment charge of 1% on the outstanding balance otherwise, subject to a minimum of RM10 and maximum of RM100. Furthermore, if you do not pay your monthly instalments for three consecutive months, CIMB will terminate the flexi payment plan that has been offered to you.

Finally, note that CIMB has allocated a total budget of RM75 million for this campaign; offers will cease once the total approved flexi payment plan amount hits this campaign cap.
