CIMB Visa Spend & Fly Campaign Offers 1,000 Return Flights To Top Spenders
Author Avatar

A return flight for two can easily cost a few thousand ringgit, and CIMB is giving away 1,000 of them to Visa cardholders who spend the most during its latest campaign.

The Spend & Fly with CIMB Visa Credit Cards Campaign runs from 2 March 2026 to 31 May 2026. Instead of a lucky draw or fixed minimum spend reward, this campaign recognises the top 500 cardholders with the highest cumulative local spend and the top 500 with the highest cumulative foreign spend.

Registration Is Required

To participate, eligible cardholders must register once via SMS by sending CIMBFLY to 62886 during the campaign period. Only registered participants will be considered.

The campaign is open to new and existing principal cardholders of selected CIMB Visa credit cards, including Visa Infinite, Visa Signature, Visa Platinum, CIMB e Credit Card, and selected CIMB PETRONAS Visa cards.

Spending across principal and supplementary cards under the same account will be consolidated.

Local And Foreign Spend Are Ranked Separately

The campaign has two separate categories. The top 500 cardholders with the highest cumulative eligible local transactions in Ringgit Malaysia will each receive a prize, while another 500 prizes are reserved for those with the highest cumulative eligible foreign transactions made in non Ringgit currencies.

If you pay in Ringgit while overseas using dynamic currency conversion, the transaction will count as local, not foreign.

There is no guaranteed spend threshold. Winners are determined purely by ranking at the end of the campaign period.

Excluded transactions include cash advances, instalment plans, JomPAY, FPX, DuitNow QR, quasi cash transactions such as betting, and various fees and charges.

What Winners Receive

Each of the 1,000 winners will receive one complimentary return economy class flight for two passengers from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to selected destinations.

Destinations include Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, Jakarta, Bali, Manila, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and more.

The prize covers base fare, taxes, airport charges, and fuel surcharges. Additional costs such as baggage, insurance, hotel stays, seat upgrades, visas, and personal travel expenses are not included.

Travel must be completed within 11 months from voucher issuance, and blackout periods apply during major festive and peak seasons. Flight routes and carriers are determined by the appointed vendor, subject to availability.

A Campaign That Rewards High Spending

Because this is a ranking based campaign, the final qualifying spend amount will only be known after it ends. Cardholders who already have significant planned spending during the campaign period may find it easier to compete.

Winners will be notified within 12 weeks after the campaign ends, and each participant can win a maximum of one prize.

For those considering joining, the key step is registering before spending, as unregistered transactions will not count.
