Hong Leong Bank (HLB) has confirmed that it will stop offering Western Union money transfer services from 1 September 2025. The change applies across all HLB branches and Bureau de Change outlets.

Transition to Other Services

The bank said customers who previously used Western Union can switch to HLB’s existing remittance channels, which remain available for international and domestic transfers. According to the bank, branch staff are on hand to guide customers on suitable alternatives.

Assistance and Enquiries

Customers with questions are encouraged to speak to staff at their nearest branch or contact the HLB Contact Centre at 03-7626 8899.

Customers who still wish to use Western Union can do so through the Western Union mobile app, available on the App Store and Google Play.
