Sending DuitNow transfers, paying bills, or scanning QR codes is already part of many people’s weekly routine. During the Ramadan and Raya period this year, those same transactions could also turn into entries for cash prizes.
Hong Leong Bank and Hong Leong Islamic Bank have launched the HLB Connect Ramadan & Raya 2026 campaign, running from 9 March 2026 to 8 May 2026. The promotion rewards customers who use the HLB Connect digital banking app to complete everyday banking activities.
Instead of relying on a lucky draw, the campaign ranks participants based on how many eligible transactions they perform through the app during the promotion period.
To take part, you need to be an HLB Connect user with a Hong Leong Bank or Hong Leong Islamic Bank current or savings account, Meezani Account-i, or an HLB credit card.
Each time you complete certain transactions through the HLB Connect app, you earn Connect Points. Eligible activities include common digital banking tasks such as DuitNow transfers, bill payments, QR merchant payments, e-wallet top ups, and investment transactions.
Payments such as zakat or sadaqah made through the app are also counted as eligible transactions.
Because points are tied to completed activities rather than transaction size, the campaign rewards how often you use the app rather than how much you spend. If you regularly pay bills, transfer money, or make QR payments through the app, those routine transactions could steadily accumulate points throughout the two month campaign.
By the end of the campaign period, the users with the highest Connect Points will receive the top cash prizes:
The participant with the most points will receive RM30,000.
Second and third place winners will each receive RM10,000.
Fourth to sixth place winners will receive RM5,000 each.
Because the prizes are based on ranking rather than random selection, participants effectively compete by maintaining consistent app activity throughout the campaign window.
In practice, reaching the top prizes would likely require significantly higher transaction frequency than the average user.
Beyond the leaderboard prizes, the campaign also includes smaller festive rewards.
A total of 1,750 participants will receive RM20 Duit Raya cash prizes during the promotion.
These rewards give regular users a chance to receive something even if they do not accumulate enough transactions to compete for the top rankings.
If you already use the app for everyday payments and transfers, these smaller rewards could simply come from continuing your usual banking activity during the campaign period.
The campaign ultimately rewards customers who already perform most of their banking through the HLB Connect app.
Because rankings depend on total Connect Points, users who frequently transfer money, pay bills, make QR payments, or top up e-wallets will naturally accumulate more entries over the two month campaign period. Occasional users may still qualify for the RM20 Duit Raya rewards, but reaching the top prizes would require significantly higher transaction volume.
The promotion does not change account fees, loan eligibility, or banking features. It simply adds a festive incentive on top of everyday digital transactions.
If you already rely on the app to manage your payments and transfers, your normal banking activity could gradually build points throughout Ramadan and the Raya period. If most of your transactions still happen outside the app, participating would require shifting those payments into HLB Connect during the campaign window.
