Maybank Adds QR Payments To Samsung Wallet
Author Avatar

Samsung Malaysia and Maybank have launched Malaysia’s first Samsung Wallet QR payment feature, letting eligible Samsung Galaxy users access Maybank’s MAE Scan & Pay function directly within Samsung Wallet.

Payments Work Across Five Countries

Samsung has not published a full list of eligible devices, though users on Samsung’s official Malaysia community forum have reported receiving the update on the Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25. The rollout is also happening in phases, so the feature may not appear immediately even after updating.

The integration supports DuitNow QR payments in Malaysia, as well as cross-border QR payments at participating merchants in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia.

You Can Earn Rewards Two Ways

Every transaction you make earns Samsung Reward points, which you can redeem for Samsung products or vouchers on the Samsung Members app.

Separately, Samsung and Maybank are running a promotional campaign from 28 July to 30 October 2026, offering up to RM500,000 in rewards. You get RM5 just for activating QR Payment in Samsung Wallet, plus up to RM15 more in cashback or vouchers when you spend through the feature.

To use the feature, make sure Samsung Wallet is updated to the latest version, then link your Maybank MAE account.
