Maybank has shared on its social media that there will be some “amazing news” for Manchester United fans come the turn of the new year.

“We have some amazing news for #ManUtd fans, come 1 Jan 2022! Watch this space for more!” the bank merely noted in a teaser post without disclosing much. The accompanying video, meanwhile, reveals slightly more; as you can see below, it bears the outline of a card featuring the image of Manchester United forwards Christiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rushford, and Mason Greenwood.

Based on this image, it is likely that Maybank is referring to the upcoming Maybank Manchester United Visa credit card with a new design, which also shares similar visuals. The revamping of the card was announced earlier this month in conjunction with the bank’s 10-year partnership with the football club. During this prior announcement, Maybank only said that the new design is expected to be launched in early 2022, but did not share a specific date.

Maybank’s statement back then also implied that it may be introducing some changes to the features of the current Maybank Manchester United Visa credit card, alongside the new design.
