Managing your money through alrajhi bank’s MY alrajhi app depends on how quickly you can complete everyday tasks without switching between platforms. The latest update introduces changes that reduce the number of steps needed for payments, transfers, and account management.
The update includes improvements to DuitNow payments, new AutoDebit options, easier access to security controls, and more requests that can now be handled directly in the app.
The app now supports improved DuitNow Online Banking and wallet payments when shopping with participating merchants, allowing transactions to be authorised more quickly during checkout and reducing delays when completing online purchases.
Customers can now set up DuitNow AutoDebit directly in the app for recurring or one off payments. Once consent is given, payments are processed automatically without repeated manual transfers.
This is useful for regular expenses such as subscriptions or utility bills, where missing a payment can lead to late charges or service interruptions.
Customers can now close their Savings Pots directly in the app, with the balance immediately transferred back to the main DuitPlus Savings Account-i.
This makes it easier to move or reorganise funds without waiting or going through additional steps.
The Kill Switch feature, which blocks transactions if fraud is suspected, is now easier to locate within the app, allowing users to act quickly without searching through multiple menus.
Current Account-i holders can now request a cheque book directly through the app, removing the need to visit a branch. Delivery will be sent to the address linked to the account.
Customers can earn RM10 by inviting friends or family to open a DuitPlus Savings Account-i using a referral code. The same reward is given to the new user once the account is activated.
The offer is limited to the first 20,000 successful referrers and 20,000 eligible new users.
The changes mainly reduce the steps needed for routine actions, from setting up recurring payments to moving savings and blocking transactions directly in the app, without relying on separate tools or visiting a branch.
