Author Avatar

Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank are running a Buy 1 Get 1 Air Ticket campaign for their Mastercard credit cardmembers from 24 August to 23 November 2026, offering a complimentary companion economy return ticket on Malaysia Airlines to selected China destinations.

A RM20,000 Spend Requirement

To qualify, you’ll need to spend a minimum of RM20,000 cumulatively within 30 calendar days on or before each flight ticket purchase, in any one participating month during the campaign. You’ll also need to purchase one full-fare ticket to receive one complimentary companion ticket, and you can only earn one companion ticket for the entire campaign period.

The complimentary ticket is capped at RM2,000 and covers the base airfare only. Taxes, airport charges, fuel surcharges and other fees must be paid separately using a PB or PIB Mastercard. If you have a supplementary cardmember, their spending is added to your total.

Where You Can Fly

Eligible destinations are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Changsha and Hong Kong, on Malaysia Airlines-operated flights only.

You and your companion must be booked on the same flight and travel together. Tickets must be return trips from any Malaysian airport, with a maximum of one domestic stopover allowed and no open-jaw or multi-city itineraries.

Only 300 Companion Tickets Available

The campaign offers 300 complimentary companion tickets in total, split into three monthly allocations of 100 tickets each, on a first-confirmed-and-paid basis. If this allocation runs out before 23 November, the campaign will end early.

Two More Travel Perks From Public Bank

Separately, if you link your PB Mastercard to Alipay, you can get an RMB30 coupon with a minimum RMB300 spend in China as a new user, or an RMB30 instant discount with a minimum RMB1,000 spend as an existing user.

Booking through Trip.com also gets you up to 10% off China hotels using the code PBCHINA10. Both offers run until 31 December 2026.

Booking Conditions You Need To  Know

Bookings go through the bank’s designated travel agent, Holiday Tours & Travel, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. You’ll need to make your reservation at least seven working days before departure, with travel dates up to 11 months from your booking date.

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, with no refunds for cancellations or missed flights.
