Public Bank is offering complimentary airport lounge access to its PB RCB Elite and PB RCB Gold Debit Cardmembers under a new campaign running from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. The perk covers selected Plaza Premium First, Plaza Premium Lounge, and Travel Club Lounge outlets, and is tied to how much you spend on the card each quarter.
The passes are earned quarterly, and the campaign comes with its own list of qualifying transactions, caps, and usage rules.
The campaign splits entitlements by card tier. RCB Elite Debit Cardmembers who spend a minimum of RM12,000 per quarter on online and overseas transactions will receive two complimentary lounge accesses for that quarter, capped at eight throughout the campaign. RCB Gold Debit Cardmembers need a minimum of RM10,000 per quarter on the same transaction types to receive one access, capped at four in total.
Not every transaction counts towards the quarterly target. Qualifying transactions exclude auto-debit and recurring payments, utility bills, insurance premiums, government-related payments, payments made via PBe and ATMs, cash withdrawals, forex transactions, quasi-cash, casino transactions, interest payments, annual fees, reversals, and payments to charities. The target has to be met with online shopping and overseas retail spending alone.
The quarters follow the campaign calendar rather than the usual calendar year. The first runs from 1 July to 30 September 2026, followed by 1 October to 31 December 2026, 1 January to 31 March 2027, and finally 1 April to 30 June 2027.
Public Bank will credit your lounge access passes within 30 working days after each quarter ends, and you will be notified via SMS once they are in. Every access granted under the campaign stays valid until 30 September 2027, so passes earned early in the campaign will not expire before you can use them.
Each access gives you up to three hours in the lounge, and you can use a maximum of two complimentary accesses per day. Anything beyond your entitlement, whether an extra visit or overstaying the three-hour window, will be charged by the lounge operator at prevailing rates. Public Bank also points out that admission does not reflect your remaining balance of free passes, so you will need to track your own usage to avoid unexpected charges.
To get in, present your RCB Debit Card, your MyKad or passport, and your boarding pass at the lounge reception. The name on the boarding pass must match the name on your card, and entry is subject to space being available at the lounge.
Within Malaysia, RCB Elite and Gold cardmembers can access the Plaza Premium Lounges at KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, Penang International Airport (both domestic and international departures), Johor Bahru Senai International Airport, and Langkawi International Airport.
The Plaza Premium lounge list [PDF] also includes Plaza Premium First at KLIA Terminal 1, the operator’s more upmarket lounge, effective 1 July 2026, plus a complimentary meal set at the Flight Club ‘grab n go’ outlet at KLIA Terminal 2.
Travel Club Lounge locations are covered too, spanning KLIA Terminal 1, two outlets at KLIA Terminal 2, Kuching Airport, and Kota Kinabalu Airport. Beyond Malaysia, the entitlement extends to Plaza Premium Group lounges and designated dining outlets across dozens of airports worldwide, from Singapore Changi and Hong Kong to London Heathrow and Istanbul.
Do check the full list of Travel Club Lounges [PDF] and the lounge operating status before you fly, as some outlets are temporarily closed.
Your complimentary access covers you alone, but guests can enter at a discount. At Plaza Premium Lounges, accompanying guests get 25% off the prevailing lounge access fee, children aged three to 11 get 30% off, and children below two enter free. The same 25% discount applies if you have used up your own entitlement and want to pay your way in.
At Travel Club Lounges, guests and walk-in cardmembers get 25% off, with children below two entering free. There is no limit on how many guests can join you, as long as their fees are paid with your RCB Debit Card at the point of admission. The complimentary access itself cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or converted into credit.
RM10,000 to RM12,000 per quarter on online and overseas transactions works out to roughly RM3,333 to RM4,000 a month, and only on those two spending categories. Grocery runs at the local supermarket or petrol paid at the pump will not count unless the payment is processed as an online transaction.
For cardmembers who travel regularly or do most of their shopping online, the target is reachable. For others, it may mean moving more of your usual spending onto this card on purpose.
Walk-in access to a Plaza Premium Lounge in Malaysia typically costs upwards of RM200 for three hours, so an Elite cardmember who hits the target every quarter collects eight passes worth well over RM1,000 across the year. To earn all eight, you would need to spend RM48,000 on the card over the campaign period. The passes are not the only return on that spending though, as these cards also pay 5% cashback on online and overseas transactions.
The RCB cards are not open to everyone. Gold membership requires total deposits of RM300,000 with Public Bank, while Elite requires RM1 million. If you already qualify, the lounge perk is enough reason to make this card your default for online and overseas spending. Full terms and conditions [PDF] are available on Public Bank’s website.
