RHB Treasure Jar Offers Up To 2.00% p.a. And Monthly Cash Draws
Author Avatar

RHB has launched a savings campaign called Save More, Win More, which pays a profit rate of up to 2.00% p.a. on money you set aside in a new feature called Treasure Jar. Three customers also win cash of up to RM20,000 each month. The campaign will run from 1 August 2026 to 31 December 2026.

Treasure Jar is a goal-based savings pocket inside the RHB Mobile Banking App. You link it to your existing current or savings account, set a target, and top it up manually or on a schedule, with up to five jars at a time. It is open to customers aged 18 and above, though junior and limited savings accounts are excluded.

RHB Treasure Jar Profit Rates And What They Pay

The 2.00% p.a. figure is made up of a 0.25% p.a. base rate that everyone gets and a 1.75% p.a. bonus rate.

RewardRate or AmountWhat You Must Do
Base rate0.25% p.a.Applies to your whole jar balance
Bonus rate1.75% p.a.Add at least RM500 in fresh funds that month. Applies to jar balances up to RM10,000
Cash drawUp to RM20,000 for three winners a monthEvery RM500 of fresh funds earns one entry

The base rate is credited into the jar itself at the end of each month. The bonus rate does not go into the jar at all, but into the current or savings account your jar is linked to, by the end of the following month.

Fresh Funds Are Measured Across Your Whole Account

To get the bonus rate, you must add RM500 of fresh funds every month. Fresh funds means new money that you bank into your account. It does not mean money you shift from your RHB savings account into the jar, because that money is already with the bank.

Every month, your average has to be at least RM500 higher than the month before. Say you held RM2,000 with RHB in July. If your August average comes to RM2,500, you have added RM500 of fresh funds, and you get the bonus rate for August. But September is then measured against that RM2,500, so you need an average of RM3,000 to qualify again. The target keeps moving up.

If your average drops one month, you do not get to start again from that lower figure. RHB compares you against your end of July balance instead, whichever of the two is higher.

How To Earn Entries Into The RM20,000 Cash Draw

Every RM500 of fresh funds earns one entry into that month’s draw, and entries do not carry over to the next month. Winners receive cash equal to their jar balance, but only up to how much their total RHB balance has grown since July, capped at RM20,000.

Winners are contacted by phone and must answer a question about the campaign correctly to claim. Notification comes eight to twelve weeks after the campaign month, and payment within twelve weeks of that.

Set Up A Scheduled Top-Up Of RM500 A Month

The bonus rate applies to a maximum of RM10,000, and at 2.00% p.a. that balance earns roughly RM16 a month. To qualify every month until December, you need to bank in RM2,500 of new money over five months.

Set up a scheduled top-up of RM500 a month in the app. This way, you’ll be moving money into your account on a fixed date before you can spend it, and it is the simplest way to hit the RM500 mark every month without watching your balance. If you are only moving existing savings around, you will earn 0.25% and nothing else.

Full details are in the campaign terms and conditions. Deposits are protected by PIDM up to RM250,000 per depositor.
