OCBC Bank will keep selected branches open over the weekends throughout October in a bid to better serve customers who are seeking for post-moratorium financing support.

According to its statement, the following branches will remain open over selected days of the weekend this month:

Branches Day/Time
  • Cheras
  • Kajang
  • Kepong
  • Klang
  • Petaling Jaya
  • Puchong
  • Subang Jaya
Saturday (10am to 2.30pm)
  • Melaka
  • Taman Molek
Saturday and Sunday (10am to 4pm)

OCBC Al-Amin customers looking to discuss their financing support options can also visit these branches for help.

The chief executive officer of OCBC, Dato’ Ong Eng Bin said that OCBC has taken this step to keep the branches open on weekends because it recognises the convenience provided to its customers. “Any customers who sees the need for post-moratorium support may walk in to these branches on the weekend – and, of course, all our branches during working hours on weekdays – to apply for post moratorium support,” he said.

Prior to this move, OCBC had already organised two post-moratorium loan and financing support weekends on 19 & 20 September as well as 26 & 27 September at selected branches.

Aside from walking into bank branches, OCBC and OCBC Al-Amin customers can also opt to apply for post-moratorium support through online and phone banking channels. The online support channel has been enabled since 7 August, allowing customers to submit their applications in a matter of minutes. Meanwhile, those who prefer to use the phone banking channel can call the bank’s dedicated hotline at 03-83175011 (consumer banking) or 03-83175200 (SME banking).
