AmBank Reveals Its New Signature Priority Banking Metal Visa Infinite Credit Card
Author Avatar

Two weeks after sharing a teaser, AmBank has unveiled its new AmBank Signature Priority Banking Metal Visa Infinite credit card. Marketed as an exclusive card “forged for the few” in sleek silver metal with a minimalist design, the card is offered by invitation only and allows cardmembers to enjoy 10x AmBonus Points for overseas spend, access to LoungeKey services and Plaza Premium Lounges, along with various other perks.

Specifically, the 10x AmBonus Points reward is only applicable to card transactions outside of Malaysia, and is not valid for online transactions regardless of the country that the cardmember is in. The AmBonus Points earned can then be converted to air miles via frequent flyer or travel reward programmes to redeem free flights, including Enrich, Asia Miles, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, and AirAsia BIG. There are more than 50 airline partners to choose from.

Other notable benefits that cardmembers can also tap into using the new AmBank Signature Priority Banking Metal Visa Infinite credit card include exclusive access to LoungeKey services (no registration or reservations required) as well as Plaza Premium Lounge access. The LoungeKey programme offers top-tier facilities at over 1,000 airport lounges worldwide, such as retail, dining and spa offers – and can be accessed using the LoungeKey app with Digital Pass. Meanwhile, Plaza Premium Lounges are available in over 50 countries, both locally and internationally.

On top of these, AmBank Signature Priority Banking Metal Visa Infinite cardmembers will also be entitled to complimentary perks such as Club Marriott Malaysia membership, Tableapp Elite membership, and 2-for-2 dining deals at selected hotels and resorts. Other benefits to the card include VISA concierge services, 0% easy payment plans, and the provision of a Covid-19 insurance programme (exclusive for AmBank Visa Infinite cardholders only).

AmBank Signature Priority banking customers who are selected to hold the card will also be happy to know that the new card does not come with any annual fee charges; it is free for life with no conditions attached. This also applies to the first three supplementary cards, with the fourth supplementary card onwards seeing a fee of RM188 p.a.. If you wish to become an AmBank Signature Priority banking customer, you need to have deposits or investments of RM200,000 and more with the bank, or investments of RM150,000.

All in all, the new AmBank Signature Priority Banking Metal Visa Infinite credit card appears to be designed for the highest-end of the market with considerable perks for overseas spending and plenty of travel and accommodation benefits bundled in. With many countries gradually reopening their international borders after almost two years of lockdowns, this card’s launch seems quite well-timed.
