AmBank Revises Travel Insurance Benefit For Selected Credit Cards

AmBank has announced a revision to the travel insurance benefits for several of its credit cards, namely its Gold, Platinum, and World Mastercard cards. The changes will come into effect on 1 June 2021.

The existing travel insurance benefits for AmBank Gold credit cardholders will be removed altogether, whereas the Platinum and World Mastercard members will see their travel insurance coverage amount reduced. However, there will be no changes to the AmBank Visa Signature and Visa Infinite cards respectively.

You can see the changes laid out more clearly in the table below:

Platinum RM 1 mil p.a. Reduced to RM500,000 p.a.
World Mastercard RM2 mil p.a. Reduced to RM1 mil p.a.
Visa Signature RM1 mil p.a. No changes
Visa Infinite RM2 mil p.a. No changes

Do note that the revision does not apply to the AmBank M-Gold Card, AmBank M-Platinum Card, AmBank M-Signature Card, AmBank UnionPay Platinum Card, and AmBank Business Platinum Card.
