AmBank has announced an update to the Plaza Premium Lounge (PPL) benefit of its credit cards, revising some of the conditions needed to enjoy the perk. Set to take effect from 1 October 2023, these include an update to the number of PPL access allowed per calendar year for selected cardholders, as well as the minimum spend requirement.
Firstly, AmBank’s SIGNATURE Priority Banking (AmSPB) cardholders – consisting of those who hold The Metal Visa Infinite, World Mastercard/-i, and Visa Infinite credit cards – who do not meet the asset under management (AUM) requirement of RM200,000 will soon get 6x PPL access per calendar year – as compared to the current 5x per year. This is provided that they spend a minimum of RM1,000 within 30 days before and/or after each lounge access – up from the existing RM500 minimum spend condition. Note that this perk is only applicable for principal cardholders; supplementary cardholders are not eligible under this category.
Meanwhile, AmBank SIGNATURE Priority Banking cardholders who meet the AUM requirement of RM200,000 to RM499,999, or RM500,000 and above will see no changes to their PPL benefit. Here’s a table to give you a quick look at the change:
