Public Bank has announced a revision to its credit card benefits on insurance transactions. Effective 1 August, insurance transactions will be officially excluded from earning benefits and rewards from Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank credit cards.

Insurance transactions (MCC5960 and MCC6300) will be excluded from credit card benefits including but not limited to:

• Cash MegaBonus
• Cash Rebate/Cash Back
• Air Miles Points
• VIP Points.

While the new exclusion is meant to apply to all Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank cards at large, these two particular card features below will not be affected by the revision:

Mutual Gold-PB Visa Platinum Credit Card	Additional 0.3% Mutual Gold Cash Bonus on cardmember’s birthday month
PB-AIA Visa Gold Credit Card	0.2% cash rebate on AIA insurance premiums for AIA transaction acquired by PBB at AIA branches
