Public Bank Launches Cashback and Rewards Campaign For Mastercard Credit Cards

Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank have launched the “Spend Today, Reward Yourself Tomorrow” campaign for Mastercard credit cardholders. Running from 1 September 2025 until 28 February 2026, the campaign offers monthly cashback and prize opportunities to eligible participants.

How to Join the Campaign

Principal Mastercard credit cardholders from Public Bank or Public Islamic Bank are eligible to participate. To join, customers must register once during the campaign via PBe online banking using the keyword PBMC or by sending an SMS with “PBMC” to 68333. Once registered, all spending on their principal and supplementary cards will be tracked automatically.

Cashback Rewards for Monthly Spending

Cardholders can earn cashback when they meet the minimum monthly spending thresholds on qualifying retail transactions. A monthly spend of at least RM2,000 qualifies for RM40 cashback, while a spend of RM5,000 qualifies for RM120 cashback. Cashback is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with a monthly allocation capped at RM92,800.

Contest Entries Through Everyday Spending

In addition to cashback, the campaign also features a monthly “Top Spender Contest”. Every RM100 spent locally earns one contest entry, while transactions made overseas or via Samsung Pay, Google Pay, or Garmin Pay earn additional entries.

To qualify, cardholders must spend a minimum of RM5,000 in a month. Each month, 50 winners will receive an American Tourister Gemina Pro luggage, totalling 300 winners across the campaign period.

Eligible Transactions

Qualifying retail transactions include local and overseas purchases, online payments in local or foreign currency, and new zero-interest instalment plan purchases. Excluded transactions include cash advances, instalment repayments, balance transfers, recurring payments, utilities, insurance premiums, government-related payments, and other fees or charges.

Prize Fulfilment

Cashback and prizes will be credited or awarded to the principal cardholder’s account within four to twelve weeks after each campaign month. Winners are limited to one monthly prize throughout the campaign period.

The campaign offers cardholders a chance to maximise the value of their everyday spending. To benefit, participants should ensure they register early, track their monthly spending, and focus on eligible transactions that count towards cashback and contest entries.
