UOB Bank has shared further updates on the delivery of new UOB credit cards to customers who are still holding Citi-branded cards. Specifically, the bank said that it will begin delivering the new cards progressively, with an expected completion by the second quarter of 2024 (2Q24).
In emails sent to customers, UOB also stated that the new cards will be delivered to each cardholder’s mailing address that is currently registered in the bank’s records. As such, you’re required to review your details and make the necessary updates (if needed) in order to avoid any delivery mishaps.
Once the cards are sent out, you will receive an SMS notification that allows you to track the delivery status of your card via PosLaju. You’re also reminded to activate your cards within 30 days once you have received them; if your new UOB card is not activated, your existing Citi-branded card will remain active.

Additionally, UOB clarified that the new UOB cards will carry the same 16-digit card numbers that are printed on your existing Citi-branded cards, so be sure to double check before activating them.
“Our commitment is to build the future of ASEAN, with you at the centre of everything we do. Thank you once again for being a valued customer. We look forward to many more years of serving you with exciting deals and a rewarding banking experience,” UOB further noted in its email.
For context, UOB had begun the process of delivering the new UOB cards to Citi cardholders starting from October 2023, following UOB’s acquisition of Citi’s consumer banking business in Malaysia back in 2022.
