United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (UOB Malaysia) has announced updates to the Terms and Conditions (T&C) of its UOB ONE Card, which will take effect on 31 October 2025.
The revisions affect how certain transactions are treated under the card’s Cash Rebate Programme and Minimum Retail Spend calculation, and form part of the bank’s regular updates to maintain clarity and transparency.
From 31 October 2025, spending on utility bills, postal services, and religious-related transactions will no longer qualify for cash rebates under the UOB ONE Card. These same categories will also be excluded from the Minimum Retail Spend calculation used to determine monthly rebate eligibility.
This update adds to the list of existing exclusions such as government payments, instalment plans, and JomPAY transactions. It reflects UOB Malaysia’s periodic review of cashback categories to ensure rebates remain focused on everyday retail spending.
Other rebate tiers and benefits for the UOB ONE Card remain unchanged. Cardholders can continue earning cashback on eligible purchases such as groceries, dining, and petrol transactions that meet the required monthly spend.
UOB encourages customers to review the full list of eligible and excluded transactions to ensure their spending qualifies for rebates each month.
The revised Terms and Conditions will take effect on 31 October 2025 and apply to all existing and new UOB ONE Cardholders. Customers can review the updated document on UOB Malaysia’s official website for complete details on eligible transactions and rebate calculations.
