Sights & Scenes: Maybank Treats Fair 2022
Author Avatar

After a few years of conducting its flagship card event virtually, Maybank is back with a bang to hosting its Treats Fair event physically. Featuring a host of activities on top of a bonanza of deals with over a hundred participating merchants, the bank certainly went out of its way to recapturing the magic of Treats Fair.

Now in its 18th year, Treats Fair 2022 has a huge variety of deals exclusively offered only to Maybank cardholders, allowing them to use their Treats Points as good as cash at this event. We popped by to check out the four-day event earlier today, and here’s what we saw!

Kicking things off at Day 1 was the official launch event, which not only partners from Visa and Mastercard, but also Manchester United legends Dennis Irwin and Wes Brown

VIPs posing at one of the two Mercedes cars being offered as part of its latest campaign for Maybank cardholders which also launched today

Gift Counter which also includes a Spin the Wheel reward that allows shoppers at Treats Fair to earn bonus Treats Points

Members of the public can also apply for Maybank credit cards at the event

Meanwhile, a Customer Service booth was also available to help existing Maybank cardholders with things like TreatsPoints balance enquiry, credit limit check, credit limit increase, and more

At the end of one of the halls, cardholders can also easily redeem gifts from the TreatsPoints catalogue

Maybank Treats Fair is a one-of-its-kind event, where shoppers use their credit card rewards points as currency (but you can still pay with your Maybank cards). At Treats Fair, cardholders enjoy an improved redemption rate of 400TP = RM1 (usually 500TP = RM1)

There are also exclusive promos on-site, such as this from Starbucks

Cardholders can also easily pay for their traffic summons (available this weekend only) and assessment taxes

With over 100 participating merchants, Maybank cardholders can enjoy great deals on virtually everything, from home appliances, smart gadgets, jewelry…

…to tourist attractions, holiday packages…

…and even place bookings for a car!

Besides the main event at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Maybank also has another Treats Fair area at the Centre Court of Mid Valley Megamall. In fact, various retail outlets in Mid Valley and The Gardens will accept Maybank TreatsPoints redemptions at the Treats Fair rate (400TP = RM1)

At the Centre Court area, cardholders can take part in mini-games to win Maybank merchandise. Members of the public can also apply for Maybank cards here

You can also meet Fred the Red, Manchester United’s mascot, and Harimau Malaya, Maybank’s mascot, roaming around the Treats Fair halls!

The Maybank Treats Fair 2022 will be open until this Sunday (30 October) at 10pm at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. For a full list of events happening from now till Sunday, check out the official website.
