UOB Bank is currently hosting its Cybersale Campaign for the year, which allows cardholders to earn 10% cashback when they spend a minimum of RM100 on online transactions or e-wallet reloads each month. The promotion, which is already ongoing, will run until 31 December 2021.
Open to all UOB credit and debit cardholders, the 10% cashback is capped at RM10 for each eligible transaction – with each cardholder being entitled to one online spend cashback and one e-wallet top-up cashback every month during the campaign period. In other words, you can actually win a combined total of RM20 cashback every month through this five-month promotion.
Note that the campaign defines qualifying online transactions as purchases made via e-commerce platforms or online merchants, as well as selected food deliveries (FoodPanda and GrabFood). Meanwhile, eligible e-wallet reloads are limited only to top-ups done on Touch ‘n Go eWallet, ShopeePay, Lazada Wallet, and GrabPay. Non-eligible spends, on the other hand, include balance transfers, cash advances, and easy payment plan instalments.
As always, the cashback reward will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis, with UOB allocating a total of RM28,000 to be disbursed each month. The full amount is divided between the online spend and e-wallet top-up category at RM20,000 and RM8,000, respectively – with a set number of redemptions allowed per week. Here’s the full redemption schedule for your reference:
Once you’ve earned the cashback reward, it will be credited into your account within eight weeks after the end of each campaign month. The amount will also be reflected in your account statement the following month.
If you wish to join this campaign, you will need to register your participation by sending an SMS (“U3”) to 66300. Alternatively, you can register online via a dedicated page on UOB’s website. Upon successful registration, you’ll receive a confirmation notice. From there, you can then go ahead and spend with your card to earn the cashback provided.
