Bitcoin prices have continued its bullish trend and breaching US$100,000, a major psychological ceiling that marks yet another milestone for the digital asset.
This comes just a week after it tested and failed to break the US$100,000 barrier, managing to only reach around US$98,000 on 29 November. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is now priced at US$103,222 (around RM457,500), and at local digital asset exchange Luno, it is trading at RM450,616 with an intraday high at RM454,999.
Year-to-date, the price of Bitcoin in Malaysia has gone up by a spectacular 121% from RM203,653 traded on 1 January, making it one of the best-performing investment assets this year.
