UOB To End Maintenance Fees For Overdraft And Flexi Mortgage Accounts

Starting 1 September 2025, UOB will no longer charge the account maintenance fee for Overdraft (OD) and Flexi Mortgage (FM) accounts.

With this update, customers will stop paying the monthly or annual maintenance fee starting from that date.

For those unfamiliar with these products, an overdraft is a credit facility linked to a current account, while a flexi mortgage is a type of home loan that allows borrowers to reduce their loan interest by depositing extra funds into a linked current account.

For Customers on an Annual Fee

If you’re currently paying RM120 per year, you’ll be charged a pro-rated fee for the period of January to August 2025. This final charge will appear in your August 2025 statement.

For Customers on a Monthly Fee

If you’re billed RM10 each month, your last maintenance fee will also be charged in August 2025. No further fees will be applied after that.

No Action Needed

The change will happen automatically. You don’t need to make any updates to your account or submit any requests.

If you have questions or want help reviewing your account, you can contact UOB Customer Service or visit any UOB branch.
