LHDN Introduces New One-Stop Information And Service Portal, MyTax

The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) has introduced a new one-stop information gateway and service platform for taxpayers in Malaysia, dubbed MyTax.

Accessible through the website and its own mobile app, the new portal is intended to provide the public with convenient access to various tax-related information and interactive data from one place and with a single sign-on. These include details such as ledger transactions, loan repayment statuses, and monthly tax deductions. MyTax users will also have their own mailbox and ID access to various LHDN services. Some of the services that you can tap into from this portal include byrHASIL, e-Filing, e-Daftar, e-Lejar, and e-Kemaskini.

The director of the tax operation department of LHDN, Datuk Adenan Che Semail emphasised that MyTax aims to provide safe and user-friendly access to services and products under LHDN. “MyTax will also make it easier for taxpayers to access their latest information without having to come to the IRB office, especially amidst the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said, adding that the security of taxpayers’ information will be prioritised on the portal.

Meanwhile, LHDN highlighted that MyTax can help with minimising the country’s revenue leakage while simultaneously boosting revenue collection. MyTax was launched alongside several other new tax products, including the LHDB Corporate Plan Book 2021-2025, which charts the agency’s strategy for the next five years.

To find out more about the new portal, you can head on over to LHDN’s MyTax website here. Alternatively, you can also download MyTax from Google Play, the App Store, and the Huawei AppGallery.
