Maybank Investment Bank (Maybank IB) recently unveiled its new “myimpact Invest” campaign, giving investors the opportunity to win attractive prizes by investing in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and shariah-compliant stocks in Bursa Malaysia.

From 15 July to 14 January 2025, investors stand a chance to win attractive prizes, including flight tickets with carbon offset, green-certified hotel stays in London, Tokyo, and the Maldives, smartphones, and online shopping vouchers. To participate, all you need to do is open a trading account on the Maybank Trade MY app, and every 50 trades will earn 20 bonus entries, while new clients opening an online account and trading at least once will receive an extra 10 entries. Trading in ESG and Shariah-compliant stocks grants double the number of campaign entries for trades in these stocks, allowing for more chances to win.

Tengku Ariff Azhar Tengku Mohammad, Officer-in-Charge and Chief Operating Officer of Maybank IB highlighted the institution’s longstanding commitment to ESG investing. “With myimpact Invest, we are taking one step further to promote purposeful investing by supporting the local stock market, in particular the constituents of the FTSE4GOOD Bursa Malaysia Index as well as Shariah-compliant securities as determined by Securities Commission Malaysia,” he said.

The launch is the latest in Maybank’s myimpact suite of sustainability-driven efforts, after the myimpact credit card, Malaysia’s first credit card with a built-in carbon calculator, and the myimpact SME Hub, which is a one-stop integrated ecosystem for Malaysian small and medium enterprises.
