If you use your Affin credit card for a movie ticket on weekends, the deal is getting an update. Affin Bank has updated the terms of its free movie ticket promotion at GSC and TGV, effective 17 July 2026. The bank said the change spreads the offer across more customers after a strong response since April. The promotion still runs on Fridays and Saturdays, and you still pay with an Affin credit card.
From 17 July, each cinema, GSC and TGV, releases 100 complimentary tickets a day on Fridays and Saturdays, on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also a campaign-long allocation of up to 5,000 tickets per cinema, so the offer is available both daily and across the full run.
This updates how the promotion worked when it launched in April, running then as a buy-one-get-one deal with 200 complimentary tickets per cinema each day. The new structure sets a daily count of 100 alongside a total allocation per cinema.
You buy an Adult Deluxe or Standard 2D ticket online through the GSC or TGV website or app on a Friday or Saturday, and the free ticket can be used for any screening day, subject to availability. Online purchases qualify, and TGV purchases need a TGV MovieClub membership. Booking and processing fees apply as usual.
The campaign runs until 31 October 2026, or while tickets remain available. The deal applies at GSC and TGV locations nationwide, with a few premium halls outside the offer: GSC Aurum Theatre at Exchange TRX, GSC The Gardens Mall, GSC The Mall Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Bahru, and GSC Velvet Cinema at Sunway 163 Mall.
If you tried this offer before and missed out, this update works in your favour. The tickets are no longer cleared out early in the campaign. Affin now releases a fresh batch every Friday and Saturday, so you get another shot each weekend. You’ll still want to be quick though, since it’s first-come, first-served.
