LG Malaysia Launches Rent-Up Service To Allow Rental Of Home Appliances
Author Avatar

LG Electronics has launched its new LG Rent-Up programme, described as “the first comprehensive home appliance rental service in Malaysia”. It is aimed at enabling Malaysians to upgrade their homes with the latest home appliances while maintaining financial flexibility.

In its statement, LG shared that the programme will be applicable to selected models from nine LG product lines, including air and water purifiers, air conditioners, and washing machines. You can also choose a rental period of either five or seven years – depending on the range of products chosen (standard warranty applies).

Aside from this flexibility, customers who tap into the LG Rent-Up programme will also benefit from its comprehensive service package during the whole rental period, encompassing perks like self-service and regular visits from LG technicians, as well as seamless integration with LG’s ThinQ app. This is on top of other extra benefits such as free deliveries and installations, as well as expert consultations.

Once your rental period is over, you’ll have the option to keep the appliances that you’ve rented, but if you prefer, you can also upgrade them to newer LG home appliances. This is to offer a more flexible and satisfying customer experience.

Managing director of LG Malaysia, Justin Choi said that the company intends to redefine the rental experience within the country with this new programme, allowing Malaysians to enjoy innovative products and services without the excessive upfront cost.

“What truly sets our rental service apart is our commitment to providing an effortless and seamless experience. As the sole provider offering a diverse range of product lines under our rental programme, we are excited for Malaysians to embrace an upgraded and smarter way of living,” Choi further stated. For extra context, LG Malaysia had previously allowed customers to rent water purifiers, but not other product lines.

If you’re interested in checking the programme out, LG is also currently running a promotion to celebrate this launch; between today until 30 April 2024, you will be entitled to a gift if you rent a water purifier and a second appliance from another LG product line in a single receipt. You can find out more by visiting LG’s PuriCare brand shops or kiosks nationwide, or visiting its official website here.
